Car Policy Configuration with Headlight
For companies using a car policy method based on the lease price (e.g., TCO budget), bulk price lists are required in Headlight.
You can inspect price lists via Car Budgets → Configurator → Quote Sets.
Adding Bulk Quotes
To add a bulk quote, go to Resources → Import.
🧠 Bulk quotes contain prices for all vehicle models without options. Request them from your lease suppliers — make sure to provide them with your pricing conventions!
Steps:
- Drag and drop your original, unaltered supplier bulk quote file.
- Select Bulk quotes as the import type.
- Choose the correct lease supplier.
- Enter a descriptive quote set name.
- Click Import to upload.
You can follow import progress in the Import Screen — it only takes a few seconds.
When working in a multi-bid setup, repeat the process to upload additional bulk quotes.
Inspecting Bulk Quotes
Navigate to Car Budgets → Configurator → Quote Sets to view uploaded quotes.
You’ll see the available quote sets (e.g., two in this example).
To inspect one:
- Open a bulk quote to view included brands, models, and versions.
- Expand a brand (e.g., BMW) to see its models and pricing details.
Repeat for the second quote to compare values.
Merging Bulk Quotes
You can merge multiple bulk quotes into a single, optimized list containing the best prices per model version.
Steps:
- Open one of the bulk quote sets you want to merge
- Click Merge.
- Select the bulk quote you want to merge with.
- Name the new merged quote set.
- Click Merge to create it.
Headlight automatically selects the most competitive price for each model version.
