Example Workflow with a Task
This section explains how a workflow can generate a task. In the training video we use the example workflow to show an example of a task in the My Tasks overview and Notifications pop-up window.
How to start a Workflow as an employee:
- 🔎 On the Home Page, see the Headlight Workflows section on the right.
- 📋 If your company administrator has set up Workflows that can be triggered manually by the employee, they will be listed in this overview.
- 🧠 Follow the example shown in the video — do not start workflows yourself just as an example, only when you have an actual use case.
When the example workflow runs:
- A task is automatically created for the employee.
- Headlight prompts the task on screen.
- The task also appears in Notifications and the My Tasks overview.
View Your Active Tasks
Return to My Tasks to review tasks awaiting your action.
- 📋 Find the new task in the task list.
- Each task shows:
- The workflow name
- The task name
- ⏱️ Time since the task started
- The current status
- Click a task row to open it.
Complete a Task
Inside the task window:
- 📝 Fill in all requested information.
- ⬇️ Scroll down to review all questions.
- ✅ Click Submit to send your information.
- Once submitted, Headlight closes the task automatically.
💡 You now know how to find, review, and complete tasks assigned to you in Headlight.
✔️ Tasks can be accessed from the Home Page, through Notifications, or via the My Tasks overview.
