Related <a href=\"https:\/\/www.help.headlight.tech\/?ht_kb=how-to-register-a-driver-switch-in-headlight\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.help.headlight.tech\/?ht_kb=how-to-register-a-driver-switch-in-headlight\">driver switches<\/a> and status updates are covered in separate articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the video above, we edit the <strong>legal entity<\/strong> of a vehicle and review its effect on history tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editing Legal Entity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Set the <strong>effective date<\/strong> for when the vehicle contract moved to another entity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>new legal entity<\/strong> from the dropdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optionally, add a <strong>note<\/strong> to explain the change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2705 Click <strong>Save<\/strong> to store your update.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Your note will appear in the <strong>main vehicle overview<\/strong> and can also be viewed in the dedicated <strong>Notes<\/strong> menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reviewing History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To check the vehicle\u2019s modification history:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>Details \u2192 History tab<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019ll see that as of the configured date, the new legal entity is now displayed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each history item shows who made the change (e.g., Fleet Manager account).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Note: As with driver switches, you can block <strong>legal entity changes<\/strong> from leaser reports via <strong>Settings \u2192 Data &amp; Security Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2705 That\u2019s it!<br>You\u2019ve learned how to consult, edit, and track vehicle details, including entity changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most modifications occur automatically via <strong>leaser reports<\/strong> or <strong>Headlight.Flow workflows<\/strong>.<br>Explore the other resource menus for more data insights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On top of the vehicle information, we find a scrollable menu bar.You can scroll to the right or click the arrow to browse vehicle submenus.
