Contact the Fleet Manager via Home Page
Headlight highlights key help options on the Home Page.
This includes quick access to your Fleet Manager.
You have access to a help section straight from the Home Page, in the blue box ‘Need help?’ (top right)
💡 Let’s explore the contact ‘Fleet Manager’ option!
Make sure you are logged into Headlight, to quickly contact the Fleet Manager.
- Start from the Home Page.
- Go to the Need help? section.
- Click Fleet Manager to start a conversation.
- You will see the Fleet Manager’s name, contact information, and the option to begin a chat.
🚨 An example email address may appear in training materials, but it is not active.
- Click START CHAT to begin messaging.
Once the chat opens:
- The Fleet Manager’s name appears at the top of the chat window.
- You will also see the chat listed in the Conversations panel on the left.
Start the Conversation
To begin your conversation with the Fleet Manager:
- Click the message box at the bottom of the screen.
- Write your first message to start the conversation.
- Your message becomes part of your chat history.
Use the Formatting & Add Links
If you want to format your message or add links:
- Click the writing icon to switch to rich text mode.
- Use bold text to highlight important points.
- Use italic for emphasis.
- Create bullet lists to organise details or questions.
- Add a link when referencing external information (optional).
- Enter a URL for your link in the dialog box (optional).
You can switch back to plain text at any time.
Attach Files
You can add screenshots, documents, and other files to your message.
- Click the paperclip icon to attach files.
- Select a file or drag and drop it into the message box.
- The attachment appears above the message box.
- 🧠 Hover over a file name to preview it.
Send Your Message
When your message is ready:
- Click the send button to submit it to your Fleet Manager.
After sending:
- You can review all messages exchanged in the chat.
- Timestamps show when messages were sent.
- Attachments can be previewed anytime by hovering over them.
- Your conversation always remains available in the chat list on the left.
Your Fleet Manager will reply. You will see their response when the message is available.
