📊 Learn how to use the Car Budget Category Analyzer to compare available car models within your budget, apply filters, and review detailed pricing.
When Can You Use Vehicle Pricing?
Before you begin, make sure the following conditions are met:
- ✅ You have been invited by your Fleet Manager to order a new car.
- ⏳ Your current car is nearing the end of its contract, or
- 🆕 You are a new employee,
- 🏛️ according to your company’s Car Policy eligibility rules.
Access Vehicle Pricing via the Order Car Menu
You can open the Vehicle Pricing Analyzer from the main menu.
- 🏠 Log in to Headlight and start from the Home Page.
- 📂 In the left navigation menu, go to My Mobility.
- 🚘 Click the Order Car link.
🧠 If this link is not visible, your account is not yet activated for a new order. - In the Order page, click the Vehicle Pricing module.
Headlight will take you to the Car Budget Category Analyzer page, where you can start your car budget analysis.
Access Vehicle Pricing via the Home Page
You can also open the analyzer directly from the Home Page.
- From any page, click Home in the left navigation menu.
- In the Ready to Order a Car? section, select Review Pricing.

Using the Car Budget Category Analyzer page
Budget & Visualization
At the top of the analyzer page, you’ll find your budget settings.
- 🔽 Use the dropdown at the top to view your budget policy and level.
🧠 This is automatically matched to your employee level by your company.
Category Analysis
- 📊 In the Category Analysis panel, an interactive graph displays available cars.
- The budget limit line shows your maximum budget.
- Colored dots represent car model versions:
- Below the line → within budget
- Above the line → over budget
💡 Available brands, models, and motor types depend on your company’s Car Policy.
Your options may differ from the examples shown in training.
Understand the Graph
- ℹ️ Click the information icon to view the legend and graph explanation.
- Review how the axes, budget line, and price calculations work.
- Click OK or outside the dialog to close it.
Navigate the Graph
- Hover over a colored dot to see the model version name.
- 🧠 Clicking a dot highlights the car in the overview panel further down the page.
- 🔃 Use the Order by dropdown to sort by Budget Price or Benefit in Kind.
- On the right side of the graph, review the engine type legend explaining color codes.
- ↔️ If many models are shown, scroll left or right using the scrollbar or trackpad.
Apply Filters
Use filters to narrow down the model selection.
- 🧰 Click the filter icon in the top-right corner of the Category Analysis panel.
- Click any filter field to select or deselect criteria.
- 🧠 Headlight preselects commonly used filters by default.
How to edit a filter selection in the Filter dialog window, an example:
- Open the Brand Type filter.
- Select Generalist brands in addition to Premium brands.
- Click outside the dropdown to exit the filter.
- Repeat this process for other filters as needed.
- ✅ Click OK to confirm and apply all filters.
The graph updates automatically based on your selections.
Check again the colored dots on the graph, to see if your desired model has versions that fit in your budget.
💡 Keep exploring filter combinations, until you’ve narrowed down your choice.

Use the Car Overview Panel
Scroll down on the analyzer page to view the car overview panel.
- 🖱️ Click a car image to select a model.
- A purple info panel appears on the right, showing:
- Basic model information
- Cost details
- Benefit in Kind estimation
- ➡️ Use the [>] and [<] arrows to browse through multiple cars.
Preview Car Images
You can preview stock images of each car.
- 🖼️ In the purple info panel, click the image icon in the top-right corner.
- Browse images using the arrow controls.
- 🔍 Zoom in on images for more detail.
- ℹ️ Click the information icon to read the disclaimer.
- Click outside the image viewer to return to the analyzer.
🧠 Stock images represent standard models. Final vehicle appearance may vary based on options.
Open the Car in the Configurator
From the analyzer, you can continue configuring your car.
- 🔗 In the purple info panel, click Open in Configurator.
- Headlight opens the car’s page in the Car Configurator.
- Review detailed model information and standard equipment.
- ⚙️ Click Configure to start selecting options and colors.
- 💰 Financial information updates in real time based on your company’s policy.
🚨 You can only configure and order cars that fit within your approved budget and car policy.
Review Quote Details
Scroll further down the page to find the Quote Details table.
- 📋 Review offers for specific vehicles.
- 🔍 Use icons and the search bar to refine results
(for example, search for a model like “iX2”). - Click a row to highlight the car in the overview panel.
- The purple info panel updates automatically with details for the selected vehicle.
