Consult and Modify Vehicle Details

On top of the vehicle information, we find a scrollable menu bar.
You can scroll to the right or click the arrow to browse vehicle submenus.

For employees and other assets, you’ll find comparable menu options in their details.

You can also rearrange menu items to prioritize access — for example, drag the “Cost” tile lower if you rarely use it.

Vehicle Details Overview

Under the Details menu, you can quickly review key vehicle data.
For additional details, click the arrows next to Vehicle Details to open the full record.

You can search and edit over 80 vehicle properties.

On the right side, you’ll find Vehicle Status. Related driver switches and status updates are covered in separate articles.

In the video above, we edit the legal entity of a vehicle and review its effect on history tracking.

  1. Set the effective date for when the vehicle contract moved to another entity.
  2. Select the new legal entity from the dropdown.
  3. Optionally, add a note to explain the change.
  4. ✅ Click Save to store your update.

Your note will appear in the main vehicle overview and can also be viewed in the dedicated Notes menu.

Reviewing History

To check the vehicle’s modification history:

  1. Go to Details → History tab.
  2. You’ll see that as of the configured date, the new legal entity is now displayed.
  3. Each history item shows who made the change (e.g., Fleet Manager account).

Note: As with driver switches, you can block legal entity changes from leaser reports via Settings → Data & Security Settings.

✅ That’s it!
You’ve learned how to consult, edit, and track vehicle details, including entity changes.

Most modifications occur automatically via leaser reports or Headlight.Flow workflows.
Explore the other resource menus for more data insights.
