Creating Driver Contacts

Learn how to add, edit, and filter supplier contacts for drivers in Headlight.


Accessing the Contacts Page

  1. From the Home Page, click My Contacts in the Help section.
  2. As a Fleet Manager or Company Admin, use the View as dropdown to preview contacts as specific drivers.
  3. Leave it blank to stay in your admin view.

✅ Use “View as” to verify which suppliers are visible to each driver.


Adding a New Contact

  1. Click + to add a new contact.
  2. Enter:
  • Name and Company
  • Email, Phone, and Website (recommended for mobile dialing)
  • Optional Description
  1. Click SAVE → CONFIRM to add the contact.

Editing a Contact

Example: Editing a Dealer Contact

  1. Click the Edit icon beside a contact to modify details.
  2. To create filters, click the Edit contact rules icon.
  3. In the dialog window:
  • Choose Condition type → Equals
  • Type “make” → select vehicle / make
  • Type the value (e.g., Mercedes)
  1. Click OK → SAVE → CONFIRM.

✅ This contact will now only appear for drivers whose vehicles match your condition.


Viewing as a Driver

  1. Use the View As dropdown to select a driver.
  2. Headlight displays the suppliers matching your conditions.
  3. Confirm visibility works correctly by comparing drivers with and without the specified condition.

Example: A Mercedes dealer contact appears only for drivers with a Mercedes vehicle.

Second example: Add Supplier Contacts in Headlight

This tutorial explains how to add fleet manager (supplier) contacts in Headlight.

Setup

Go to Procurement → Suppliers and open Lease contacts.

These contacts are internal and not visible to drivers.

Click “+” to create a new supplier contact.

Configuration

  • Select the supplier type.
  • Choose a leaser from the list (contact Support if missing).
  • Add both Commercial and Support contacts:
  • Commercial: used for leasing quote requests.
  • Support: for other communication.
  • Optionally, add the contact’s name and first name for workflow use.

✅ Click Save.
You can now add more contacts for other suppliers.
