There are two ways for employees to gain access to the Headlight platform.
- Single Sign-on using a professional Microsoft account
- By invitation from the fleet responsible
Single Sign-On with Microsoft
Initializing an account through a Single-Sign-On process is simple. The user goes to app.headlight.tech, and clicks “Sign in with Microsoft”. An account will automatically be created and initialize.
The user will only be able to sign in with Microsoft if the connected email address is also connected to an employee in the Headlight system. Thus, the mobility responsible can update employee details with the professional email-address of the user, such that he or she can be identified on sign on.
Creating an account by invitation
Alternatively, a mobility responsible can directly invite a user by email. First, navigate to People, and select the employee you would like to create an account for. Then, fill in the email address you want the user to be contacted with. Next to the email address, click the “add user” icon to invite the user.
The user will receive an invitation email with a username and temporary password. If the user does not activate the account in seven days, it will be deactivated.
